When something's not quite right

You know your cat better than anyone. When their behaviour changes or something seems off, you want answers before the worry takes over.

Our Symptom Checker helps you understand what might be going on. Select a category, answer a tailored questionnaire about what you've noticed, upload photos if they're helpful, and receive a potential diagnosis with clear next steps.

Important

The Symptom Checker is not a substitute for veterinary care. We are not vets. What we provide is a research-informed assessment based on the information you share, to help you feel more prepared before you speak to a professional. Always consult your vet for a formal diagnosis.

How the Symptom Checker works

Each assessment follows a structured process, combining your observations with our research database and careful human review to give you a clear, useful result.

Choose a category

Select the area that best matches what you've noticed. From behavioural changes to skin issues, respiratory concerns to dental problems, we cover twelve distinct categories.

Safety screening first

Every survey begins with a critical safety question. If your answers indicate an emergency, the survey will stop immediately and direct you to contact your vet straight away. Your cat's safety always comes first.

Answer tailored questions

The questionnaire adapts based on the category and your responses. You can also upload photos or videos to give us a clearer picture of what you're seeing.

We analyse the information

Your answers are assessed using our internal research database, AI-assisted analysis, and human oversight. We cross-reference clinical literature and established veterinary science to identify potential causes.

Receive your results

You'll get a potential diagnosis with a clear explanation and recommended next steps. Everything is saved in the app and can be shared directly with your vet in one tap.

Whatever you've noticed, there's a tailored survey designed to ask the right questions. Each category has been developed using clinical references and specialist knowledge to ensure we're covering the details that matter.

Built with safety at every step

We take the responsibility of health advice seriously. The Symptom Checker is designed to inform and prepare you, never to replace the expertise of a qualified vet.

Emergency detection built in

Every survey starts with a screening question designed to catch emergencies. If your cat is showing signs that require urgent attention, the survey stops and tells you to contact your vet immediately. We would rather you get professional help fast than complete a questionnaire.

"The Symptom Checker is about informed preparation, not self-diagnosis. It's the conversation starter, not the final word."

Peace of mind when you need it most

That moment when your cat isn't eating, or they're hiding more than usual, or you've spotted something that wasn't there yesterday. The Symptom Checker gives you a way to make sense of what you're seeing, grounded in research, with clear guidance on what to do next.

No panic Googling. No conflicting forum posts. Just a structured, research-backed assessment you can trust.

Better prepared, not self-diagnosed

The Symptom Checker works best alongside the rest of My Feline. Your cat's profile in Pawtfolio means we already know their age, breed, and health history. Articles in the Library give you deeper understanding. And Your Area helps you find the right vet when you need one. It all connects.
