Why we built My Feline

Cats are brilliant at hiding when something's wrong. By the time you notice a problem, it's often been brewing for a while.

We built My Feline because cat owners deserve better than guesswork. Better than outdated advice recycled across the internet. Better than turning up at the vet not sure what questions to ask.

My Feline brings together research-backed health guidance, tailored to your cat, with practical tools that help you stay one step ahead. Track their health, spot early warning signs, find local services that genuinely understand cats, and feel informed when something seems off.

Cats deserve more attention

Feline research is an underrepresented area in veterinary science. Fewer people are training to become vets, and there's only a small community of feline specialists working around the globe. The research that does exist is excellent, but there isn't enough of it happening.

We want to help change that. Every article in our Library traces back to peer-reviewed feline research, and we're committed to building awareness around feline science. Our team is growing too. We're recruiting a dedicated feline research specialist to keep pushing the standard higher. If we can play even a small part in inspiring the next generation of feline researchers through celebrating cats and sharing what we learn, that would be something worth doing.

Your area, properly researched

Some vets have feline specialists. Some have separate waiting areas so your cat isn't surrounded by unfamiliar sounds and smells. Some don't.

That information matters, but it's often hard to find. So we're building a hand-curated database of cat services across the UK. Vets, pet shops, groomers, behaviourists, rescue centres, charities. All with the details that actually help you choose.

A small team, obsessed with cats

My Feline is built by a small UK team based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. We come from a research background, and we've spent years working on products and services for cat owners.

This isn't a side project or a hobby app. The subscriptions fund real people doing real work. Researching, writing, curating, and keeping everything as accurate and current as possible.

We're growing the team right now, bringing on a feline research specialist and someone to expand our local services database across the UK. One thing won't change: we're only focused on cats.

Library

Cat advice you can actually trust.

The internet is full of cat advice. Most of it is wrong, outdated, or trying to sell you something. Our Library is different.

Every article draws from peer-reviewed research and veterinary science, then gets translated into plain English by our team. No jargon, no guesswork, just the latest thinking on feline health and behaviour.

We publish new articles every week across twelve categories, from nutrition and behaviour to medical conditions and welfare. And because we know your cat's age, breed, and health history, we surface the articles that matter most to you.

  • 12 categories covering every aspect of cat care
  • New articles published weekly
  • Personalised recommendations based on your cat's life stage
  • Member topic requests

Your Area

Local services, properly vetted.

Finding a good vet is hard. Finding one with feline specialists, segregated waiting areas, and cat-friendly handling? Even harder.

Your Area is our hand-curated database of cat services across the UK. Every listing is researched by our team, with details you won't find on Google Maps: which vets have feline-only consultation rooms, which pet shops stock specific dietary foods, which behaviourists specialise in anxious cats.

  • Vets, pet stores, rescue centres, charities, behaviourists, and more
  • Searchable map and list views
  • Detailed intelligence on cat-specific services
  • Manually curated and continuously updated

Symptom Checker

When something's not quite right.

You know your cat better than anyone. When their behaviour changes or something seems off, you want answers.

Our Symptom Checker is a first-of-its-kind tool that helps you understand what might be going on. Answer a tailored questionnaire about what you've noticed, and our team will analyse the information using clinical references, specialist knowledge, and careful human review.

You'll receive a potential diagnosis with clear next steps, which you can share directly with your vet in one tap. This isn't a replacement for veterinary care. It's a way to feel informed before you get there.

  • Covers behavioural, dental, dermatological, respiratory, and more
  • Dynamic questionnaires tailored to your cat's symptoms
  • Human-reviewed analysis (not just AI)
  • One-click sharing with your vet
