1. Introduction
Welcome to My Feline. This Privacy Policy explains how My Feline, a Trading Division of Kuba & Leia Limited (Company No. 11005503, DUNS No. 223417185), registered at 45 Station Road, Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, RG9 1AT, United Kingdom ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application ("App") and related services.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the My Feline App in the United Kingdom. By accessing or using our App, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the data practices described, you should not use our App.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
2.1 Personal Information You Provide
When you register for and use the My Feline App, we collect:
- Account Information: Email address, first name, last name, date of birth, and user biography
- Location Information: Your postcode, which you provide as part of your profile, and your device location (GPS coordinates), collected with your permission and used to show you relevant local businesses and services in the Your Area section. Your coordinates are sent to and processed by our database provider, Supabase, in the United Kingdom
- Contact Details: Information about your veterinarian (name, phone number, email, website), cat sitter (name, phone number, email), and emergency contacts (name, phone number, email)
2.2 Cat Information
We collect the following information about your cat(s):
- Basic Information: Cat name, biography, gender, images, date of birth/age, breed, and weight
- Health Information: Neutering status, microchip status, medication details (type, name, dosage, frequency), vaccination status and due dates, and any disability information
- Documents: Certificates and other documents you choose to upload to your cat's Pawtfolio, such as vaccination certificates, pedigree papers, or insurance documents
- Symptom Information: Any information provided through the Symptom Checker, including answers to questionnaires and uploaded images/videos related to your cat's health concerns
2.3 Purchase Information
If you take out a subscription or make a one-time lifetime purchase, we collect your purchase history and entitlement status so that we can provide you with the features you have paid for. All payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never see or store your card details or other payment credentials. Purchases and entitlements are managed on our behalf by RevenueCat.
2.4 Information Collected Automatically
When you use our App, we may automatically collect:
- Device Information: Type of mobile device, operating system version, unique device identifiers
- App Usage Data: How you use the App, which features you access, and time spent on different sections
- Log Information: Error reports, activity logs, and performance data
- Crash and Diagnostics Data: We use Sentry to monitor app performance and identify technical errors. Sentry collects crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics. This data is associated with your account identifier (user ID) so that we can investigate issues affecting your account, but it does not include your email address or other contact details. Crash and diagnostics data is processed under our legitimate interest in maintaining app stability and resolving technical issues, and is retained for 90 days.
- Map Requests: When you view maps in the Your Area section, your device requests map tiles from OpenStreetMap. As with any web request, this involves your device's IP address being visible to the tile server. We do not send any account or profile information with these requests.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
3.1 Providing and Improving Our Services
- To create and manage your account
- To personalise your experience in the App, particularly in the Pawtfolio section
- To provide relevant research articles and videos in the Library section
- To generate tailored information in the Symptom Checker
- To display local cat-related businesses in the Your Area section
- To send notifications and reminders based on your preferences
- To improve and develop our App and services
3.2 Research and Analysis

- To identify health trends through anonymised Symptom Checker usage
- To support feline welfare through data-driven research
- To identify patterns across breeds, ages, and health conditions
- To source and analyse peer-reviewed research papers for the Library section
3.3 Sharing Your Symptom Reports
You can choose to share a symptom report by email, for example with your veterinary practice or to keep for your own records. Sharing is always started by you from within the App. When you share a report, we prepare and send the email on your behalf to the recipient you choose. It can include:
- Your cat's profile information
- Your responses to the Symptom Checker questionnaire
- The symptom report prepared by the My Feline research team
We do not share your symptom reports with anyone unless you ask us to.
3.4 Third-Party Research
We may provide third parties with:
- Anonymised datasets
- Trends analysis
- Qualitative and quantitative insights
All shared research data is anonymised and not associated with personal identifiers.
3.5 Research Participation
If you opt in to our Research section (when available):
- We will use your profile data to match you with relevant studies
- We will notify you of paid research opportunities
- You will have the option to participate or decline any study
- Payments for participation will be managed between My Feline and you
3.6 Symptom Checker Processing
When you submit information through the Symptom Checker, a member of the My Feline research team reviews your responses and uses AI tools, combined with peer-reviewed veterinary research, to analyse the symptoms you have described and prepare your symptom report. This human-supervised approach ensures the report appropriately considers the specific details you have provided before it is shared with you.
Symptom reports are informational only and do not constitute a diagnosis or veterinary advice. The final decision about your cat's care always remains with you and your veterinarian.
3.7 Marketing Communications
We will only send you marketing communications if you have opted in to receive them. As an existing user, we may send you information about similar products and services (such as new app features) under the "soft opt-in" provisions of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. You can opt out of marketing at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, adjusting your notification preferences in the app, or contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing will not affect service-related communications such as password resets, security alerts, or important account notifications.
3.8 Push Notifications
Push notifications require your explicit permission through your device's operating system. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service, to deliver push notifications to your device. You can manage notification preferences at any time in the app's Settings or through your device settings. We use notifications to send vaccination reminders, medication alerts, and updates about new Library content based on your preferences.

- Legal Obligation: Processing is necessary to comply with our legal obligations
5. Data Retention

Some of our service providers (RevenueCat, Sentry, Firebase, and Resend) are based in the United States. When we transfer data to these providers, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as certification under the UK-US Data Bridge (UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework), which the UK Government has recognised as providing adequate protection for personal data, or UK-approved standard contractual clauses. You can verify provider certifications at dataprivacyframework.gov.

7. Your Rights
Under UK data protection laws, you have certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
- Right to Erasure: You can ask us to delete your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Right to Data Portability: You can request the transfer of your personal information to you or to a third party in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

If you have any concerns about how a report was prepared, you can contact us and we will look into it.
7.1 Withdrawing Consent
Where we process your data based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: you can adjust your preferences in the app's Settings menu (including turning off location access in your device settings), click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us at support@my-feline.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details provided in the "Contact Information" section below. We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal information.
8. Data Security
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information we collect and store. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
8.1 Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users without undue delay and in any event within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, where feasible. We will also notify the Information Commissioner's Office as required by UK data protection law.
9. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time through the Settings menu in the app (Settings > Account > Delete Account). You may also request deletion by emailing support@my-feline.com, or by following the steps at my-feline.com/delete-account. Upon deletion, we will remove or anonymise your personal data, including your cat profiles, documents, and symptom reports, within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or regulatory purposes. If you have an active subscription, remember to cancel it through your app store before deleting your account. Lifetime purchases are one-time payments and there is nothing to cancel, but deleting your account will remove your access to the features included with your purchase.
10. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will delete such information from our files.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. For material changes that affect your privacy rights, we will notify you through in-app notification and/or email and may require you to acknowledge the changes before continuing to use the App. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
